About Us

The Douglas County History Research Center collects and preserves the history of Douglas County, the High Plains, the Divide area of the Front Range and the State of Colorado in order to provide historical research resources to the public. We offer reference services, public programs and online resources to a diverse audience of adults and youth.

We invite you to call or stop by the Research Center and donate your personal papers, photographs, memorabilia and "boxes of stuff" relating to the history of Douglas County, to the Douglas County History Research Center.

Hours

Monday | 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tuesday - Friday | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
By appointment after hours Tuesday - Friday.

Walk-ins are welcome, but please call ahead if you plan to visit so we can prepare materials for you.
